Statistics is a mathematical field actually based on three distinct areas which include data analysis, probability, and statistical inference. Data analysis is the gathering, display and summary of data. Probability deals with the laws of chance. Statistical Inference is the science of drawing statistical conclusions from specific data, using a knowledge of probability.
